A Message from Our Principal
Joanna Kletter

Dear Families,

One morning, a man walking along the beach came across a stretch of sand littered with thousands of starfish that had been washed ashore. He noticed a young person quickly moving about picking up starfish and throwing them into the sea. He approached the child and said, “What are you doing?” The child replied, “If they stay on the shore, they will die. I must get them back into the water.”

The man chuckled, “Child, there are thousands of them along the shore. What difference can you make?” The child paused and looked dismayed for a moment, then the child picked up a starfish and threw it into the sea, “I made a difference to that one!”

We hope to educate and raise children to be the people who do not see past a problem or ask what does that have to do with me. We strive for children to see into a problem and be brave enough to be part of the solution. The image at the top of this letter supports this vision and our theme for 2022/23. We look forward to making a difference with all of you this year.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Kletter
